BRIEF: Chickasha Disabled American Veterans to hold event Aug. 22

Aug. 17--The Chickasha Disabled American Veterans will be holding an event on Wednesday that will offer resources to local veterans.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 22, the community is invited to visit the Disabled American Veterans building at 101 N. 6th St. in Chickasha.

A Mobile Military Museum will be on site for everyone to tour. There will also be a mobile service office to help veterans with veteran's affairs claims, benefits, widow benefits and more.

Local businesses, including the Interurban Food Truck and Two Vets T-shirts and Clothing will be on site. In addition, Around the Clock home health care nursing staff will be available to answer questions about home health care assistance.

Attendees will also have the chance to meet the Patriot Guard Riders.
